Razor Workshop (in LA!)

Pony Salon is coming to LA for 2 separate events on March 19-20:

  • An Industry Mixer With Champagne + Live Demos + Gift Bags on March 19th (invite your friends and colleagues!) [tickets]

  • Two full days of razor education with 2 expert educators for a small group (comes with ticket to mixer) [tickets]

So "Why Must You Pony?" Check out LostHairdressers.com for a quick interview with Corinna.  Revisiting the fundamentals is important to beginners and expert stylists alike. And why Los Angeles? Because we love it! LA has asked for Pony classes so here you have it-- the first SoCal Pony experience. We are so excited!

Take the best educators who truly love to teach, add to an intimate setting where you are free to ask as many questions as you like, see inspiration and demonstrations that open your creative eye and get your hands in the hair that day on carefully curated live models. What more do you need?

2-Day "Boys & Bobs" Workshop w/Michelle
to Oct 17

2-Day "Boys & Bobs" Workshop w/Michelle

Michelle Snyder (owner of Barrow Salon) and Corinna have gotten together and brainstormed a new workshop for you. We would love to stray from the all-too-common WWII mens barber cut and into the realm of a fashionable length, classic cuts and styles, but with a modern twist. We also wanted to incorporate our take on the searing hot bob. Thus, we have wedded the two concepts and incorporated them both into a 2-day hands-on workshop: Boys & Bobs!

Day 1: men's cuts. ***this is not a barbering class*** We want to work with you not only cutting men's hair but styling it as well. Pomps, shags, and layers-- masculine hair-- is the idea. Like all of our classes, we will have live models for you and so this class will be consultation heavy with a strong look at suitability, and we will use one or all tools available to us depending on desired look, hair type, etc.

Day 2 will be all about cool French girl bobs, Rock and roll bobs, and/or super tiny, very short bobs. ***this is not a lob class*** Less is more. Or even more is more!! We will be approaching these bobs differently, thinking outside the box. Let's take our skills that we've picked up along the way and break some rules in a thoughtful manner.

Note: This class is advanced. You must be a licensed hairdresser with at least 2 years using the (guarded or unguarded) razor on the floor in your salon.

Save these dates on your calendar and come join us for this 2-day extremely fun workshop and let's add some great new tricks up our sleeves to offer those cool clients of ours! October 16-17 at Barrow Salon in SF. 10:00-4:00 both days. After Day 2 join us in a mini celebration/unwind and talk over what we've learned at our wrap party around the corner from Barrow!
